Connect Repository

Link your GitHub repositories for code analysis

Overview

Connect your GitHub repositories to enable code analysis. Once connected, Claude Code can search, read, and understand your entire codebase to answer questions accurately.

Quick Start

1

Connect GitHub

Go to Repositories and click "Connect GitHub". You'll be redirected to authorize the Critical Context GitHub App.

2

Select Repositories

Choose which repositories to give access to. You can select specific repos or grant access to all repositories in an organization.

3

Add a Repository

Back in Critical Context, click "Add Repository" and select from your available repos. The repository will be cloned and indexed.

How It Works

Repository Cloning

We clone your repository into an isolated, encrypted environment. The code is only accessible during analysis and is not stored permanently.

Real-time Sync

Repositories are synced automatically when you push changes. You can also trigger a manual sync from the repository settings.

Tip

For private repositories, ensure the GitHub App is installed on your organization and has access to the specific repos you want to analyze.
